Science: We edited our conclusion in our "eggcellent" websites. We also worked with reading bar graphs.
Flower.JPGLanguage Arts: We had a discussion about if kids should or shouldn't go to jail when they hit someone they way Richie hit Russell in the Revealers.

We went out to the garden in mod 4 here is one of the pictures we took. We were sketching pictures and writing poetry for the harvest dinner!

9/19 Homework:
Language Arts: The reading log response question is to respond to the following quote "If adults did this to another adult they would go in jail, why is OK for kids to do it to other kids?" Do you agree? Why or why not?

Social Studies: Finish the "Friday Geography worksheets" they are due tomorrow. Be sure to write in complete sentences and embed the question in your answer to receive full credit for each question.

Today in mod 1 we went to the garden and made pesto and picked potatoes and learned about the Hunt garden.

Language Arts: Today in class we went over some response questions that students wrote and finished the chapter experiments in The Revealers. We also made a new page on our Revealers sites called EOL and we typed up the EOL words and related them to the Revealers.

Science: We made a new website called Eggsperiment and put the video of the experiment on it and we typed up our science lab sheets.

9/18 Homework: Science: Finish egg lab
Language Arts: Do reading response log you can pick between these two; you can pose as the editor and give the author advice about this chapter and also make revisions. Or predict what Russell's mom going to do about the situation with Richie and what will Russell's reaction be?.

Language Arts: Today we read some of the chapter "experiment" in our Revealers books. We defined and discussed "metaphors". We practiced making predictions and inferences.having to do with Richie.
Social Studies: We worked in our packet of map skills.
Science: We learned how an egg can fit through the mouth of a bottle when the eggs molecule heat up. Watch the video to see more.

9/17 Homework:
Language Arts: Reading Log Question #13 What surprised you and why? Add Edmontosaurus, Diplodocus, Velociraraptor, and Troodont to your vocabulary page. For extra credit do a science lab sheet about The Revealers to get 5 extra points on last weeks reading log due Thursday.
Social Studies: Do the packet that is due on Friday.

Today in class:
Language Arts: We finished reading the chapter Anatosaurs and we discussed what the question should be for our reading log.
We had Mrs. Pawlusiack come in and talk to the Odyssey team about DCF books, we saw a power point about the books. The library has all 30 books in 2 or 3 copies.
Science: We worked on our hypothesis sheets.

9/16 Homework:
Language arts: Think of what is a good topic for tomorrows class discussion.
Social Studies: Homework due Friday
Science: Finish conclusion for science.


Language Arts: We wrote definitions for "demented" and "louvered". We read some of the chapter (anatosaurs) in The Revealers. We also discussed in a group what was worse physical or bullying with words.

Social Studies: THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE map activity uses cardinal directions to navigate you away from zombies.

Science: We finished up our water experiment and wrote our lab report.
